Nathan Lyon donates cricket bats autographed by Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah
An cricket player from Australia, Nathan Lyon has given three bats to National Cricket Inclusion Championships (NCIC). The cricket people at the National Cricket Inclusion Championships are extremely happy because they help these cricketers all over Australia. Two of the bats are very special because famous Indian cricket stars, Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah, signed on them. On each bat, there is an elegant message in Braille that says "A Sport For All". Nathan Lyon wants to make sure everyone can play cricket, no matter what.
Lyon is clearly an important of the NCIC, and he played some cricket with NCIC . After that, he spoke to the cricket people in Australia. Lyon said that it's exceptionally wonderful if he can make all young ones want to play cricket because it's an enjoyable activity that all can play.
The players he met are playing for South Australia in Brisbane, which is similar to playing for their state team. Lyon hopes that they get to play in larger games for the Australia team for players with intellectual disabilities.
In January, from the 19th to 25th, there will be a cricket game at Marchant Park in Brisbane. It's going to be very great, there will be 22 teams coming from different places in Australia. They made groups for the players. A for players who blind and low vision mens and womens are some groups for sharp and informed players who learn differently and A for players who have a Deaf & Hard of Hearing Men and womens.
Joel Morrison General Manager for Cricket Australia and he organizes big events. Morrison said, "The important game where cricketers with disabilities play is amazing because we get to see very good players from all across Australia. Cricket is a game that all people should be allowed to play, and that's what Cricket Australia thinks about it".
The game is liked by more and more people, and we are looking forward to 2025. That year, we'll have an entire week where women who are low vision or are blind will play their games. It's all because last year, people really enjoyed the unique games they played. It shows that more people in Australia love cricket that includes everyone.
Morrison said, "The Championships are important for cricket players to show who they are, and I'm very eager to watch them play really well in front of everyone. They will make the youngsters want to play because they're really good at cricket".
