Kohli and Rahul are unavailable for the upcoming Ranji Trophy fixtures
Virat Kohli and KL Rahul informed the BCCI medical staff about their injuries. Because of their injury, they can't play in the next games for the Ranji Trophy, which start on January 23.
Kohli has a neck pain and he taken injection on January 8, after the Sydney match. But his neck still pains. Because of that, he is not able to join the match Delhi, will play against Saurashtra in Rajkot.
Rahul cannot play in the game against Punjab because his elbow injury. He is going to miss the game in Bengaluru. If someone can't play, they need to ask if it's okay from the head of the team selectors. The BCCI heads said that playing the matches in India is very important. So, They introduced new rules the senior players also want to play Domestic matches.
Kohli and Rahul are not able to play on January 23 , but they might get to play later in the last part of the group games that start on January 30th. The games conclude just before we face another crucial set of matches against England, starting on February 6th. Saturday, they're going to select the players for the England series and the Champions Trophy and both Kohli and Rahul might be on the team.
Other key Test players like Rishabh Pant (Delhi), Shubman Gill (Punjab), and Ravindra Jadeja (Saurashtra) will be taking part in the next round of Ranji Trophy on January 23.
