With just a few days left for the IPL 2025, which is due to start on Saturday, one team to watch out for in the upcoming season is Rajasthan Royals. After finishing the last IPL season in the third position under Sanju Samson's captaincy, Rajasthan Royals is all set to give their best for their second title in the Indian Premier League. Rajasthan has brought in some exciting names for the IPL 2025. in this article, we will discuss the expected playing 11 of Rajasthan Royals for the upcoming season

 

The 18th edition of the Indian Premier League will start on 22nd March with a match between the defending Champions, Kolkata Knight Rider, and Royal Challengers Bengaluru at Eden Gardens Kolkata. The season will last over two months and end with the finals on the same ground on 25th May.

Yashasvi Jaiswal

The exciting young opener, who has recently become an important part of India's test team, is also one of the key batters in the Rajasthan Royals' playing XI. Yashasvi’s role will be crucial to Rajasthan's success. In 37 matches, he has scored 1172 runs, with an average of 33.49 and a strike rate of 153.01.


Nitish Rana

After playing for Kolkata Knight Riders in recent years, Nitish Rana will join Rajasthan Royals as his new franchise. Rana, known for his all-rounder skills, will be a key middle-order batter. Riyan Parag

After a few inconsistent performances, he made a significant comeback last year in domestic cricket, scoring 500 runs during the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2023-24 season. Dhruv Jurel

Dhruv Jurel, an exciting Indian wicketkeeper, was retained by Rajasthan Royals for the upcoming season after his consistent performances. He is coming off good form in domestic cricket and is expected to have a good IPL season.In the 28 matches played, he has scored 347 runs with an average of 22.33 and a strike rate of 151.53.


Shimron Hetmyer

Shimron Hetmyer, the explosive West Indies middle order, was also retained by the Rajasthan Royals for the upcoming IPL 2025 season. Wanindu Hasaranga

Maheesh Theekshana
