IND vs ENG 2nd T20I: England Announce Playing XI against India, Brydon Carse Replaces Gus Atkinson

The exciting series between India and England started on January 22 with the first T20I at Eden Gardens. Jos Buttler was the captain of the England team and Suryakumar Yadav led the young and Experienced Indian team. The Indian team dominated England in the first T20I. And the Indian team took the 1-0 lead.

England is looking to bounce back from this huge loss against India and level the series. In the five-match T20I series, MA Chidambaram Stadium is going to host the second match on January 25. 

England Makes Key Changes in the Second T20I Against India

England Cricket Board (ECB) has announced their playing XI for the second T20I match. England has made a change in their lineup, Brydon Carse replaced Gus Atkinson whereas Jamie Smith also has been added to their 12-member squad. In the first match, the right-arm pacer Atkinson leaked 38 runs in just two overs of his spell and England lost the game by seven wickets.

According to the reports in the spin-bowling department star all-rounder, Jacob Bethell is ill but the England Cricket Board has still named him in the playing XI. If Jacob Bethell fails to recover from his illness on time, the wicketkeeper-batter Jamie Smith will come to play for England. It will be his debut in T20I.

The England team's openers Ben Duckett and Philip Salt will open the innings against India, In the first match Jos Buttler played very well by scoring 68 runs and he will continue at number 3. The middle order is going to be unchanged featuring Livingstone and Harry Brook. The pace attack will led by Jofra Archer, Jamie Overton, and Brydon Carse. The star spinner Adil Rashid and all-rounder Livingstone will take charge in the spin department on the spin-friendly Chennai wicket.

In the recent series, Carse had a great Test series against New Zealand, with his great performance in the Test series, he also featured in the four T20I matches and Carse picked up six wickets at an economic rate of 7.66.
