The West Indies cricket team will wear black armbands in their second Test against India in New Delhi as a mark of respect for the late Bernard Julien. Julien, who was part of the West Indies team that won the 1975 World Cup, passed away last week.

West Indies to Wear Black Armbands for Bernard Julien

In the match at Arun Jaitley Stadium on Friday, West Indies have chosen to bowl first. West Indies captain Roston Chase said at the toss that the team is making two changes for the 2nd Test against India.

Brandon King and Johann Layne are out, and Tevim Imlach and Anderson Phillip are coming in. The team will look to recover after losing the 1st Test against India by an innings and 140 runs in Ahmedabad.

“We were batting first as well, the pitch looks dry, so not too worried. Obviously, we had some meetings and we had some deep discussions as batters. And something that came up in meetings, we want to really try to bat the whole day and bat 90 overs. That’s something that we’re really looking forward to doing,” Chase said.
