Arshdeep Singh Shines with 5 Wickets in Vijay Hazare Trophy Against Mumbai
Arshdeep Singh showed everyone he's much more than just a normal bowler by mastering it in an approach against the Mumbai team, which was led by Shreyas Iyer. Arshdeep Singh has taken five wickets from Mumbai's top-order batting lineup. Before this marvelous moment, he had already proved his skills during the Duleep Trophy earlier this year.
The Mumbai team was struggling against Arshdeep's very good abilities even though they had won major trophies before, such as the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, the Ranji Trophy, and the Irani Cup. Arshdeep's ability to stand out in important situations shows again, proving he's a top-notch player in every type of match.

At the ADSA Railways Cricket Ground in Ahmedabad, Arshdeep controlled the game by getting five of Mumbai's best batters out. He managed to get Ayush Mhatre, Angkrish Raghuvanshi, Shreyas Iyer, Suryakumar Yadav, and Shivam Dube out all in just his 7-over spell by giving just 38 runs, this was a strikingly large comeback for him after having only okay games against Nagaland and Karnataka in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2024-25. He really demonstrated his skills by quickly going through Mumbai's batting lineup.
Arshdeep's Skill with the New Ball
Arshdeep is really proficient at tinkering with cricket because he can move the ball in both directions when he's bowling with a new ball. He's really important early in the games because of this ability. Even though he hasn't gotten many wickets in ODIs whenever he gets a chance, but now he shows he's able to master it.

A Chance for Bigger Opportunities
Arshdeep struggled to secure a spot in India's playing XI because Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, and Mohammed Siraj were already there. During the T20 World Cup 2024, he played in two games when Gautam Gambhir was doing his first tour as head coach but he did not stand out. Now, with Shami injured and Siraj struggling with form, Arshdeep has a real chance to make it into India's squad for the upcoming ODI series in England and the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
