Amelia played a key role for New Zealand to win the T20I Women's World Cup 2024 in the UAE. No player from New Zealand has ever won the award since it was introduced in 2017.

In 2024, Kerr played very well in both batting and bowling. Amelia Kerr won the Player of the Tournament in the Women's T20I World Cup. Also, Kerr won the Player of the Match in the final against South Africa. Kerr took 15 wickets in the T20I Women's World Cup 2024.

In 2024, Amelia Kerr took 43 wickets and scored 651 runs and Kerr is the best all-around in 2024. In the T20I, Kerr scored 387 runs average of 24. Kerr took 29 wickets in 18 matches, which is now a new national record, beating Leigh Kasperek's record of 27 wickets, achieved in 2018. Also, in the ODI, Kerr scored 264 runs average of 33, and 14 wickets.
