Ajinkya Rahane Scores Century in His 200th First-Class Match Against Haryana in Quarter-Final

In the ongoing Ranji Trophy 2024-25 quarter-final between Mumbai and Haryana the former India captain Ajinkya Rahane scored an amazing century in 160 balls in his 200th first-class game. His solid innings helped Mumbai to take a strong commanding position at Eden Gardens against Haryana.

Mumbai lost two early wickets, Ayush Mhatre and Akash Anand, leaving the team at 48/2. Rahane then came in and with his calm and composed batting steadied the innings. In his brilliant century, he hit 13 boundaries.

Rahane Anchors Mumbai's Fightback

Rahane built an important 129-run partnership with the Indian T20I skipper Suryakumar Yadav, who played an aggressive role by smashing eight fours and two sixes. While Suryakumar attacked, Rahane kept rotating the strike and punished loose balls.

After Suryakumar Yadav got out at 229/4, Rahane found another strong partner in Shivam Dube. The duo added 85 runs off 124 balls, keeping Mumbai ahead. Earlier, Mumbai posted 315 runs in the first innings. In reply, Haryana managed to score 301.
