The sponsorship deal raises IPL's profile by promoting its brand on Bath Rugby's playing and replica shirts, team training wear, stadium advertising signage, and programme advertising. It also includes sponsorship of the Recreation Ground's East Stand, which is now branded “The IPL Stand”. In addition, IPL will be making use of Bath Rugby's hospitality services throughout the 2009/10 playing season.

Through the sponsorship IPL is putting something back into the local Bath community in a way which will help Bath Rugby, its supporters and the City. IPL hopes to help Bath Rugby's Community Foundation in joint fund raising activities and by taking part in some of its community programmes. In addition we plan to support the club's ongoing efforts to secure a permanent home at the Recreation Ground. As main sponsor we will adopt a visible and supporting presence in the life of the club.
