Introducing Rishabh Pant's Private Chef: The Secret to His Performance-Based Nutrition Plan
Since returning to cricket, Rishabh Pant has adopted a strictly customized approach to his fitness and recovery regimen. Central to this is his private chef, Akshay Arora, founder of Neat Meals in Mumbai, who accompanies Pant during his cricket commitments. Arora collaborates with nutritionist Shweta Shah to meticulously manage Pant's dietary requirements.
"We struggled to find quality chefs at hotels, which hindered Rishabh's nutrition plan. I informed his manager of our lack of progress, leading to Akshay joining the team. With him, we ensured Rishabh consumed clean, personalized meals, steering clear of processed foods," Shweta shared with IANS.
Shweta, who played a pivotal role in Pant's recovery from severe injuries sustained in a life-threatening car accident in December 2022, highlighted the importance of anti-inflammatory foods and proper hydration for faster recovery between matches.
"For example, while I might simply list 'chicken' in the diet plan, Akshay crafts diverse, innovative dishes that keep the meals exciting while adhering to nutritional standards," she noted.
"We experimented with this approach for just one or two months, beginning at the end of January 2024..."
