Following consecutive Test series defeats, Team India gears up for the upcoming challenge against Australia. With an unbeaten record in their last two Test series Down Under, India is sending KL Rahul and Dhruv Jurel to join India A for the upcoming unofficial Test match against Australia A, starting on November 7. Both players are looking to gain valuable game time ahead of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, with Dhruv likely to replace Ishan Kishan in the squad. Rohit Sharma's absence in the series opener may see Jasprit Bumrah leading the side for the Perth Test match commencing on November 22.
