Zimbabwe Names Young Squad for Afghanistan Test Series

The Zimbabwe team selectors have announced the players for their next two home games against Afghanistan. The exciting part is that there are seven players who’ve never played before, and all of them are included. Ben Curran who bats left-handed and opens is in the squad. His father Kevin Curran is also a cricket player, and he has two brothers, Tom and Sam Curran who play for the England Cricket Team.
Trevor Gwandu, Nyasha Mayavo, Newman Nyamhuri, Tadiwanashe Marumani, and Takudzwa Chataira are also getting their first chance to play in a Test match just like Curran and Johnathan Campbell is the son of Alastair Campbell, who was once a significant player for Zimbabwe cricket as a captain.
Zimbabwe’s Return to the Test Arena
Zimbabwe is preparing carefully for something really big because they're going to have their first Boxing Day Test match since 1996 with this series. Even more amazing, they will play their first New Year Test ever.
The team has some important players, such as Sikandar Raza, Sean Williams, Blessing Muzarabani, and Richard Ngarava. They are all set to be the leaders when the moments become difficult. Craig Ervine is still the captain, managing everything with all the aforementioned experience behind him.
