WPL 2026 Auction Live in India: TV, Online & Streaming Details
The Women's Premier League (WPL) Auction is back for its fourth season. It will take place on Thursday, November 27 in New Delhi. The full schedule for the season will be announced soon after the auction ends. The tournament will be held entirely in January 2026, with Vadodara and Navi Mumbai likely to host the matches.
The first season of the WPL was held in 2023. Smriti Mandhana was the most expensive player, with RCB Women buying her for ₹3.40 crore. Nat Sciver-Brunt, who plays for MI Women, was also bought for a high price of ₹3.20 crore. In 2026, the tournament will have its first mega auction, and it will be exciting to see if any player is bought for more than Smriti Mandhana.
In just three seasons, the league has become one of the biggest platforms for women’s T20 cricket, with its value now even higher than the Pakistan Super League (PSL). Like the previous seasons, the 2026 season will have five Challengers Bengaluru Women, Mumbai Indians Women, Delhi Capitals Women, UP Warriorz, and Gujarat Giants Women all competing for the biggest prize money in women’s franchise cricket.
In case you don’t know, MI Women won the 2023 season, and RCB Women won in 2024 with Mandhana as captain. Harmanpreet Kaur came back in 2025 and helped MI Women win their second title. Meg Lanning’s Delhi Capitals Women have been one of the most consistent teams in WPL history, but they have never won. They finished as runners-up in all three seasons so far, and they will be hoping to change that in the next season.
