WPL 2025: Top 3 Bowling Performances | Best Spells of the Season

Following the tremendous success of the first two seasons, the third season of the women's premier league has not disappointed and has presented some exciting bowling performances so far. This article will discuss the top three bowling performances in the third season of the women's Premier League.
At the start of the season, we saw a few high-scoring matches, but as the tournament progressed, we witnessed an increasing number of low-scoring matches. Bowlers dominated these matches, restricting teams to under 150 runs.
The upcoming list includes three thrilling performances from UP Warriorz bowlers and one from a Delhi Capitals bowler.
Grace Harris (vs Delhi Capitals)
The top bowling performance of the season comes from UP Warriorz’s Grace Harris, who took four wickets against Delhi Capitals in just 2.3 overs, conceding only 15 runs and dismantling the Delhi Capitals batting order in her single spell. In her over, Harris sent four players back to the pavilion, including Annabel Sutherland for five runs, Niki Prasad for 18 runs, Arundhati Reddy, who went back for a golden duck, and Minnu Mani, who also recorded her first golden duck in the WPL.
Kranti Gaud (vs Delhi Capitals)
In the same match against Delhi Capitals, we witnessed another outstanding performance from UP Warriorz’s bowler, Kranti Gaud. The 21-year-old from Madhya Pradesh was acquired by UP Warriorz in the auction for 10 lakhs. In this match, Kranti shattered the Capitals’ top order by dismissing the trio of Shafali Verma, captain Meg Lanning, and Jemimah Rodrigues and also sent Jess Jonassen back to the pavilion. In her 4-over spell, she took four wickets while conceding 25 runs with an economy of 6.25.
Jess Jonassen( vs UP Warriorz)
The third-best performance of the season came from Jess Jonassen of Delhi Capitals in match number 8 between UP Warriorz and Delhi Capitals. UP Warriorz batted first and scored 177 runs, losing nine wickets; Jonassen took four wickets, dismissing UP’s captain Deepti Sharma, Tahlia McGrath, Sophie Ecclestone, and Chinelle Henry, who was batting aggressively, scoring 62 runs off just 23 balls and hitting eight sixes innings.
