The star Indian wicketkeeper batter Wriddhiman Saha received a special guard of honor from his teammates and opponents as he walked out to bat on Day 2 of the Ranji Trophy match between Bengal and Punjab in Kolkata. It was a great moment as both team players stood in two lines and gave a standing ovation for Wriddhiman Saha. This was their way of showing respect to the star wicketkeeper batter Wriddhiman Saha on his last appearance in first-class cricket.
In this Ranji Trophy 2024-25 this is the last group stage match and this could be the final time we see Saha in action. Wriddhiman Saha had an amazing impressive career in first-class cricket. He made his first-class debut for Bengal in 2007 against Hyderabad at the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Wriddhiman Saha played 141 first-class matches and scored 7169 runs at an excellent average of 41.69 with 14 centuries and 44 fifties.

Wriddhiman Saha Dismissed For Duck Against Punjab
In his last first-class match between Bengal and Punjab, he came to bat at No. 8 for Bengal and Wriddhiman Saha couldn't get off the mark, he was dismissed by Gurnoor Brar in the 61st over for a duck after facing seven balls in his first innings.
Wriddhiman Saha also played international cricket for India. He appeared in 40 Test matches, making his debut against South Africa in Nagpur in 2010, and in nine ODI matches he managed to score only 41 runs in five innings.
