The Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA) has not received any official notice yet, but the report says Virat Kohli fixed most of his plans during India’s tour of Australia earlier this year. His schedule may change a little depending on India’s plans for the New Zealand ODI series starting January 11. But for now, Kohli is expected to play in the Vijay Hazare Trophy.

Kohli has not played in the Vijay Hazare Trophy for more than ten years. He did play one Ranji Trophy match for Delhi earlier this year. The report also says Kohli may fly back to London after the three ODIs against South Africa and then join the Delhi team in Bengaluru. There is still no message sent to the DDCA, but Kohli had already set most of his year’s plan in Australia. The plan may change based on the New Zealand ODIs, but he may still play a few Vijay Hazare Trophy matches from December 24.

Meanwhile, the Times of India also reported that the BCCI wants to hold a meeting with selectors and the team management after the South Africa series. The talk will focus on the future of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli in ODIs, especially with the 2027 ODI World Cup coming up.
