Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma Reach New Delhi Ahead of Australia Tour: Reports

The Indian ODI team will go to Australia on October 15 in two groups, based on ticket availability. They will play a three-match ODI series followed by a five-match T20I series.
One group of players will depart in the morning, and the second batch is likely to leave in the evening. Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and the new vice-captain Shreyas Iyer are expected to join the rest of the squad in New Delhi before the journey. “Virat and Rohit will reach Delhi either a day before or on the day of departure,” a source told PTI.

The team will head to Perth for the first ODI on October 19. If players finish their domestic or international games early, they may get a short break at home before coming together in Delhi. India is currently playing the second and final Test against West Indies from October 10-14.
Shubman Gill has been made the new ODI captain, replacing Rohit Sharma. Rohit and Kohli are expected to keep playing until the 2027 World Cup, even with fewer 50-over matches before that. Before leaving, coach Gautam Gambhir hosted a team dinner at his home in Rajinder Nagar to bring the players together and boost team spirit ahead of the tour.
