Vaibhav Suryavanshi Smashes 127 as India U19 Captain Against South Africa in Youth ODI

Vaibhav Suryavanshi stayed in great form for India U19 and scored his first century as captain in the third Youth ODI against South Africa. He made 100 runs in just 63 balls, hitting seven fours and eight sixes. Opening the batting, he dominated the match and helped India overpower the hosts at Willowmoore Park in Benoni.
This was Suryavanshi’s third century in Youth ODI cricket and his ninth hundred overall in his career. The 14-year-old opened the batting with Aaron George, and together they dominated the South Africa colts, scoring runs freely all around the ground.

They added more than 200 runs in less 25 overs, even as India are looking good to post a massive total on the board. Vaibhav, as usual, played his shots right from the word go and didn't let his guard down at any stage. Vaibhav upped the ante even more after getting to his century, but got out on 127 runs off 73 deliveries with nine fours and 10 sixes during his stay in the middle.
The opening batsmen added 227 runs in 25.4 overs, giving India a strong chance to score more than 350 runs in their 50 overs. Since reaching the big stage, left-hander Vaibhav Suryavanshi has scored centuries in six different countries across formats.
He has scored a century three times in Youth ODIs, twice in Youth Tests, once in List A cricket, and three times in T20 matches, including one hundred for Rajasthan Royals in the IPL. As far as Youth ODIs are concerned, he has scored 973 runs in just 18 innings at an average of 57.23 and a brilliant strike rate of 164.35 with three centuries and four fifties to his name. With the U19 World Cup set to commence on January 15, Vaibhav Suryavanshi's form bodes well for India.
