Travis Head Wife Jessica Speaks Out After Online Abuse Following IPL 2026 Clash

What started as a heated on-field argument between Virat Kohli and Travis Head during the SRH vs RCB match later turned into an unpleasant situation for Head’s family. After Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Royal Challengers Bengaluru by 55 runs in IPL 2026, attention shifted to an uncomfortable moment between the two players after the match.

Later, Travis Head’s wife Jessica said that some Indian fans abused their family and friends online.

Speaking to Australian newspaper The Advertiser, Jessica said the incident reminded her of the online abuse their family faced after Australia beat India in the 2023 ODI World Cup final.

“It feels like a repeat of the abuse that happened after the World Cup,” she said.

Travis Head’s family faced heavy online abuse after his match-winning century helped Australia beat India in the 2023 ODI World Cup final on November 19. Travis Head first took a brilliant catch to dismiss Rohit Sharma and then scored a century that played the biggest role in Australia’s World Cup victory.

“I woke up to my socials blasting… we are fine but they are attacking my friends and family. I think across all sports at the moment there’s an important conversation around mental health, perspective and the way we speak to one another,” she added. “Passion will always be part of sport, but so is remembering there are real people and families behind the game. Hopefully this encourages more kindness, and support for one another.”

Jessica also said that their family faced similar online abuse after Australia defeated India in the 2023 ODI World Cup final, the World Test Championship final, and the 2024 Boxing Day Test.
