Tim Paine joins Sialkot Stallionz as head coach for the PSL 11

Former Australian captain Tim Paine has been appointed as the head coach for Sialkot Stallionz in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11. Paine comes with a wealth of coaching experience, having coached Adelaide Strikers in the Big Bash League and Australia A across red-ball and white-ball series.

The franchise announced the decision through its social media handle.

“Tim Paine represents leadership at the highest level of world cricket,” Kamil Khan, Stallionz owner, said. “His journey as an international captain and his extensive coaching experience across elite programs make him the ideal person to lead our cricketing vision. We are not just building a team for one season — we are building a culture, and Tim is the right leader to drive that culture.”

The most expensive PSL franchise

Paine joins the Stallionz for their debut season as the franchise is one of the two newest additions in the PSL. Along with Hyderabad, Sialkot were sold at the team auction on January 8 in Islamabad. Currently, Sialkot Stallionz are the most expensive PSL franchise, having been sold to OZ Developers for PKR 1.85 billion.
