T20 World Cup Pakistan vs New Zealand: Head-to-Head, Squads, & Weather Update
Pakistan and New Zealand will kick off the Super Eights at Colombo (RPS), though the weather is threatening to play spoilsport.
Pakistan had to cancel their training session a day before the game due to persistent rain, which is expected to visit the teams again on match day, February 21. So far, none of Pakistan’s T20 World Cup games has been affected by rain, though a pre-match threat has often lingered. If a washout occurs, the two teams will share the points, which will further narrow the margin of error in this cutthroat phase of the World Cup.
Head-to-Head in T20 World Cup matches:
Pakistan and New Zealand have played each other seven times during the T20 World Cup, with Pakistan winning five of those encounters. Their most recent meeting came in the 2022 T20 World Cup in Sydney, where Pakistan defeated New Zealand to reach the final. The last time Pakistan lost to New Zealand in a T20 World Cup was in 2016.
