T20 World Cup 2026 Points Table Update: India Stay in Race, South Africa Qualify

India kept their semifinal hopes alive by defeating Zimbabwe in their Super Eight match of the T20 World Cup 2026 at the M. A. Chidambaram Stadium on Thursday.
The result also confirmed South Africa’s spot in the semifinal while India and West Indies will now play a virtual knockout for the second spot from Group 1. Earlier in the day, Aiden Markram’s half-century helped South Africa beat West Indies by nine wickets.
