Suryakumar Yadav Praises Strong Bond with Hardik Pandya, Mentions Added Responsibility

There's a new assistant captain for India's T20I cricket games against England. The important leader, the captain Suryakumar Yadav, discussed it today. Shubman Gill, who is the Vice captain, couldn't come. Axar Patel becomes the Vice captain. Before, Hardik Pandya was in captain a lot in 2022, but not now.

At a press meet on January 21 ahead of 1st T20I, Suryakumar said that even though Hardik Pandya isn't the vice-captain anymore, he is still important for creating skill plans. After Gautam Gambhir became the India coach, Hardik lost his vice-captain spot. But the best part is, now Suryakumar gets to be the main captain, and Shubman Gill is the new vice-captain. This all happened just one day before they were going to start playing a new game series.

Suryakumar said "I and Hardik are very good friends. We had been on the same team in the IPL for many years. Hardik has good leadership skills and he want play well in the middle order. I believes that many other players are excellent leaders". 

Suryakumar said about Gautam Gambhir, the coach. "Gautam Gambhir has been in a troublesome after India didn't win against New Zealand and Australia. But, Gautam Gambhir coaching style is easy to grasp and allows them the freedom to play their way. He understands their mindset".

Suryakumar is excited to play under his captain, India, is going to play against England in five T20I matches. He says that his team and England's team are really proficient at batting and bowling in the same way. He also thinks his team has good ideas on how to play in these games. After they play these T20 games, they will play three ODIs games.
