Stokes Absent from IPL 2025 Auction List; Pant, Rahul, Starc Top Base Price

The preliminary list of players registered for the IPL auction includes top Indian players like KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant, and Shreyas Iyer, who were not retained by their respective franchises. These players, alongside others like R Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal, are listed at a base price of INR 2 crore. Notably, Mohammed Shami, recovering from injuries, is also in the mix at the same base price after not being retained by Gujarat Titans.

A host of other Indian players, including Khaleel Ahmed, Ishan Kishan, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar, are also listed at INR 2 crore. Players like Prithvi Shaw and Sarfaraz Khan, unsold in the previous auction, are now listed at a base price of INR 75 lakh.

Ben Stokes, who opted out of IPL 2024 due to workload management, is once again missing from the auction list. Meanwhile, Mitchell Starc, the record-breaking purchase in 2024, remains a player to watch.
