However, with just more than 10 days remaining for the series, the Sri Lankan Cricket Board has sent a reconnaissance team to Pakistan.

Sri Lanka Sends Security Team Ahead of Pakistan Tri-Series Amid Tensions

The Sri Lankan team has visited Pakistan several times since international cricket returned there. So, sending a security team before this tri-series has surprised many people.

This could be because of the tense situation between Pakistan and Afghanistan, along with ongoing border and internal issues in Pakistan. The tri-series will start on November 17 in Rawalpindi with the game between Pakistan and Zimbabwe.

Sri Lanka will play their first match on November 19, while the final will be played on 29 in Lahore. The series will be played in the T20 format and will act as a good preparation for the T20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka next year.
