SRH Injury Update: Brydon Carse Ruled Out, Madushanka Replaces Him

Sunrisers Hyderabad have got bad news again. Brydon Carse is injured and will not play the rest of Indian Premier League. To replace him, the team has signed Dilshan Madushanka for the remaining matches.
The Sri Lankan pacer will bolster the overseas pace unit that has already been without captain Pat Cummins. He joins at the base price of Rs 75 lakh. Dilshan Madushanka earned his first IPL contract with Mumbai Indians, shelling out Rs 4.60 crore for his services ahead of IPL 2024. Madushanka had just delivered a dream performance in World Cup 2023, picking up 21 wickets in 9 matches with his best of 5/80 coming against India at the Wankhede Stadium.
Sunrisers Hyderabad Injury Crisis: Brydon Carse Out, Dilshan Madushanka Steps In
Dilshan Madushanka missed Indian Premier League due to injury and was not picked in the Indian Premier League. Now, the left-arm fast bowler joins his Sri Lankan teammate Eshan Malinga at Sunrisers Hyderabad. Hyderabad picked up Brydon Carse from the IPL 2025 Auction for the base price of 1 Cr. However, he missed IPL 2025 with an injury but he was retained.
Now, Dilshan Madushanka is also ruled out of Indian Premier League due to another injury. Sunrisers Hyderabad are facing multiple injury problems, as they had already lost Jack Edwards earlier.
As a replacement, David Payne has joined the squad for the rest of the season. Pat Cummins is yet to feature due to an injury and is likely to return for the next clash. However, despite missing out on their first-choice overseas pace battery, Praful Hinge and Sakib Hussain had a dream debut against Rajasthan Royals.
Both picked up 4 wickets each on debut as SRH beat RR at home. If their uncapped Indian pacers continue to perform, SRH won’t be looking at Dilshan Madushanka or David Payne.
