Smriti Mandhana rises to No. 2 in ICC Women's ODI batting rankings
The Indian star opener Smriti Mandhana has reached the second spot in the ICC women's ODI batting rankings after an amazing series against Ireland. She is just one step away from the top position. Smriti is the only Indian player in the top 10 in the rankings and the Sri Lankan star all-rounder Chamari Athapaththu is in third place on the rankings.
Smriti Mandhana scored an impressive 135 runs in the third ODI and also contributed 41 and 73 in the first two matches against Ireland. Also, Mandhana has completed 4000 runs in the ODIs, in this process Smriti Mandhana has secured 738 rating points in the rankings. The South African star batter Laura Wolvaardt was leading the rankings with 773 ranking points.
Indian's aggressive batter Jemimah Rodrigues also scored her maiden ODI ton against Ireland which made Rodrigues move up two places to the 17th place. The Indian main skipper Harmanpreet Kaur missed the series and is currently ranked in the 15th spot.

Gardner had an excellent performance in the Ashes series where she scored 146 runs and took four wickets to claim the top spot from South Africa's Marizanne Kapp.
