Sahibzada Farhan closes in on Babar after equalling Kohli’s record
Sahibzada Farhan now has nine T20 centuries after his ton against Hyderabad Kingsmen in Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2026. This tally puts him level with Virat Kohli and Rilee Rossouw as the joint fourth-most centuries in T20 cricket.
Two Pakistanis on the list
He is the second Pakistani on the list, with Babar Azam in second place on eleven centuries. Leading the charts is West Indies’ Chris Gayle with 22 centuries, far ahead of the rest. Australia’s David Warner has the third-most centuries with ten, and fellow Australians Michael Klinger and Aaron Finch have eight each, placing them in the top ten.
Farhan’s magical year
Farhan has already scored three centuries this year alone. He is the leading run-scorer since the start of 2026, after New Zealand’s Finn Allen, with 719 runs at an average of 44.93 and a strike rate of 148.
The Pakistan opener also finished the recent T20 World Cup as the highest run-getter, scoring 383 runs in six innings—the most by any batter in a single T20 World Cup edition. He also notched two centuries during the tournament, a first in one T20 World Cup.
