Sadaf, Sidra in reserves as Pakistan name squad for Zimbabwe T20Is
Pakistan have added two uncapped players to their squad for the three-match T20I leg against Zimbabwe, set to begin on May 12. Batters Sidra Amin and Sadaf Shamas, who had incredible outings during the ODI leg, have been added to the reserves along with bowlers Diana Baig, Momina Riasat, and all-rounder Syeda Aroob Shah.
Uncapped Amber, Saira in the squad
Uncapped pacer Amber Kainat has earned a maiden call-up after her brilliant form in the National Women's T20 Tournament, where she grabbed 11 wickets in eight matches, including a 4-20. Additionally, batter Saira Jabeen, who stayed on the sidelines after her maiden call-up for the South Africa tour, is also a part of the squad.
Batter Iram Javed, who has been out of the side since the 2024 T20 World Cup, will also link up with the squad after being called up. Iram averaged 11.5 in eight games during the World Cup, continuing her dwindling form with the bat.
All T20I games will be played at the National Stadium, Karachi, with the second and third games scheduled to be played on May 14 and May 15. Pakistan Women whitewashed the visitors 3-0 during the ODI series, climbing to second spot on the Women’s Championship points table.
