Reports: Sikandar Raza lodges complaint against Rainbow Cricket Club head coach, alleges racist abuse

Zimbabwe T20I captain Sikandar Raza has filed an official complaint with the Harare Metropolitan Cricket Association, saying he was racially abused during a recent Vigne Cup match. The incident is said to have taken place during a local club game where Raza was representing his team. The experienced all-rounder expressed his deep concern over the matter and wants the issue to be taken seriously.
Raza Demands Action After Alleged Racist Abuse by Rainbow Cricket Club Coach
Local media reports say that Raza was racially abused while he was walking off the field. It's being claimed that the head coach of Rainbow Cricket Club, Blessing Mafuwa, made the racist comments directly at the 39-year-old.
People who were there have also come forward to support Raza in this upsetting situation. Now, the cricketer from Sialkot is asking for strong and proper action to be taken against the head coach of the Rainbow Cricket Club. He made it clear that there is no room for such behaviour or racism in Zimbabwe Cricket.
"As per local reports this morning, Zimbabwe T20I captain Sikandar Raza has lodged a formal complaint with the Harare Metropolitan Cricket Association alleging racist abuse taking place against him in a recent Vigne Cup Match," Adam Theo, a Zimbabwean journalist, posted on 'X'.
"It is understood that Rainbow Cricket Club Head Coach Blessing Mafuwa hurled racist comments at Raza while he left the field. He has demanded a severe punishment. Investigations are underway. There is no room for racism in Zimbabwe Cricket," he added.
