The team had planned an RCB Victory Parade Live event, but it has been cancelled for now because the city police did not give permission. However, officials from the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) are talking with the police to try and get approval for the parade. Even though the parade is on hold, the team will be honored at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium from 5 PM to 6 PM IST.

“I have spoken to the Police Commissioner. I will also visit the hospital but don’t want to disturb the doctors treating the injured. The exact number of casualties cannot be confirmed yet. We appeal to the public to remain calm. The programme was cut short and wrapped up within 10 minutes... Lakhs of people had gathered.”
