The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) announced on Saturday through X and Instagram that they will give financial support of ₹25 lakh each to the families of the 11 fans who sadly lost their lives in the stampede outside M Chinnaswamy Stadium on June 4, 2025.

RCB to Provide ₹25 Lakh Support to Families of Stampede Victims

On June 4, 2025, during the celebrations of RCB’s IPL title win at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, a stampede broke out. Sadly, 11 fans lost their lives and many others were injured.

“Our hearts broke on June 4, 2025. We lost eleven members of the RCB family. They were part of us. Part of what makes our city, our community & our team unique. Their absence will echo in the memories of each one of us."

“No amount of support can ever fill the space they’ve left behind. But as a first step, and with the deepest respect, RCB has extended ₹25 lakh each to their families. Not just as financial aid, but as a promise of compassion, unity, and ongoing care."

“This is also the beginning of RCB CARES: a long-term commitment for meaningful action that begins by honouring their memory. Every step forward will reflect what the fans feel, expect, and deserve," RCB captioned the Instagram post.

RCB Clinch First IPL Title After 18-Year Wait

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) finally lifted their first-ever IPL trophy after 18 long years, beating Punjab Kings by just six runs in the IPL 2025 final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Punjab won the toss and asked RCB to bat first. RCB put up 190 runs for the loss of nine wickets in their 20 overs. Chasing 191, Punjab fought hard, with Shashank Singh playing a brilliant unbeaten knock of 61 runs from just 30 balls. But his effort was not enough as Punjab could only reach 184/7, falling short of the target.

Krunal Pandya and Bhuvneshwar Kumar accounted for the dismissals of two PBKS batters each in the summit clash, whereas Arshdeep Singh and Kyle Jamieson picked up three wickets each for the Punjab-based team in the first half.
