PSL 2026: Points Table, Most Runs, & Most Wickets as group stage wraps up

by mishaalmubarak

Four playoff teams are in; the other four have been eliminated. Peshawar Zalmi will play Islamabad United in Qualifier 1, the loser of which will face the winner of the Multan Sultans vs Hyderabad Kingsmen Eliminator.

Rawalpindiz have ended as the wooden spooners, while the slim chances of Quetta Gladiators and Karachi Kings could not take them to the final stages of the playoff race. Lahore Qalandars, who seemed set to proceed to the next stage, were eventually stripped of their place by Hyderabad’s come-from-behind victory.

Zalmi players Kusal Mendis and Sufiyan Muqeem end the group stage as the highest run-scorer and wicket-taker, respectively. With Lahore and Karachi eliminated, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Hasan Ali, currently the second and third-highest wicket-takers, and Fakhar Zaman, with the third-most runs, are out of the race for the Hanif Mohammad Cap (for batters) and the Fazal Mahmood Cap (for bowlers).
