PSL 2026 IU vs HHK: Head-to-Head, Probable Playing XI, & Where to Watch

by mishaalmubarak

Hyderabad Kingsmen bagged their first win of the season after downing Karachi Kings by four wickets on Saturday. All of a sudden, they would be in high spirits. But would that be enough to take them over the line against third-placed Islamabad United?

Islamabad have only one defeat this season, against Multan Sultans in their first game. They also carry a three-game winning streak. The odds could not be slimmer for Hyderabad, but in a format as volatile as T20s, tables turning is hardly a rare sight.

But to say Hyderabad won against Karachi only due to luck would be hugely unfair. They had Peshawar Zalmi almost pinned to the wall earlier as they took that game to the last ball. It always felt like a matter of time before they secured their first win.

Hyderabad tweaked their batting order, and it came with risk. They demoted Saim Ayub, with Maaz Sadaqat and Marnus Labuschagne opening instead. Hassan Khan and Irfan Khan Niazi in the late middle order made the real impact, even if the build-up to the game placed Glenn Maxwell’s arrival in the spotlight.

Probable Playing XI:

Hyderabad Kingsmen:
Maaz Sadaqat, Marnus Labuschagne (c), Usman Khan (wk), Saim Ayub, Kusal Perera, Glenn Maxwell, Irfan Khan Niazi, Hassan Khan, Hunain Shah, Akif Javed, Mohammad Ali.

Islamabad United:
Devon Conway (wk), Sameer Minhas, Mohammad Faiq, Mark Chapman, Shadab Khan (c), Haider Ali, Imad Wasim, Faheem Ashraf, Chris Green, Richard Gleeson, Salman Irshad.
