Pakistan to Host Sri Lanka for ODI Series Ahead of Historic T20I Tri-Series
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced on Monday that Pakistan will host Sri Lanka for a three-match One Day International (ODI) series at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium from November 11 to 15. The PCB also announced that this ODI series will come just before Sri Lanka takes part in Pakistan’s first-ever T20I tri-series from November 17 to 29, which will also feature Afghanistan.
This ODI series will be Sri Lanka’s first full tour to Pakistan since 2019, when Sarfaraz Ahmed’s team won the three-match series 2-0 with the first ODI in Karachi abandoned because of rain. Sri Lanka last visited Pakistan in 2023 for the ACC Asia Cup where they played against Afghanistan in Lahore.
Earlier, Pakistan had confirmed that they will host South Africa for two ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2025-27 matches followed by six white-ball games from October 12 to November 8. After the red-ball matches, the two teams will play three T20 Internationals (T20Is) from October 28 to November 1 and the tour will end with a three-match ODI series from November 4 to 8 all taking place at Iqbal Stadium
