The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to keep the same squad, despite Haris Rauf recovering from a muscle strain in his lower chest. Today is the final day to make any changes, but the selectors have decided to go with the original team.

Haris Rauf’s Injury

Rauf was injured during Pakistan’s match against New Zealand in the ongoing Tri-Nation Series. It is not a big injury. But also, the team decided to let him rest just to be safe. As a replacement, left-arm pacer Akif Javed was included in the Tri-Nation squad. PCB remains Positive that Rauf will recover in time for Pakistan’s opening game of the Champions Trophy against New Zealand on February 19 in Karachi.

Much-Anticipated India-Pakistan Clash on February 23

The eight-team tournament is shaping up to be one of the most exciting cricket events of the year, with Pakistan's target to defend their title. The biggest match will be the India vs. Pakistan match on February 23.

The tournament’s final is scheduled for March 9 at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium. If India makes it to the final, the match will be moved to Dubai because of political reasons.
