Pakistan players fall in the latest ICC T20I rankings
Pakistan players have slipped in the latest ICC T20I rankings. Barring Sahibzada Farhan, who is currently in the No. 3 place, no other batter retained their spot in the rankings. Pakistan last played a T20I game in February, during the T20 World Cup.
Farhan remains at third
Besides Farhan, who was the top run-scorer of the tournament with 383 runs across six innings, none of the Pakistan batters even crossed the 150-run mark. The second-highest run-scorer for the side was Shadab Khan, who accumulated 118 runs.
That has reflected in the latest T20I rankings, with opening batter Saim Ayub dropping to 38th from his previous 26th spot. Additionally, Babar Azam also fell three places to 41st, Pakistan’s T20I captain Salman Ali Agha is now at 43rd, and Fakhar Zaman drops one place to 72nd.
Pakistan bowlers fall in rankings
The bowlers had similar declines in their rankings as well. Except for Haris Rauf, who gained one spot to move to 89th, none of the other bowlers progressed. Shaheen Shah Afridi is now in 31st position after falling one place, while mystery spinner Usman Tariq moved to 61st after dropping two spots.
The highest-ranked bowler for Pakistan is Mohammad Nawaz, who retained his 11th spot, followed by pacer Salman Mirza in 20th, who remains unmoved as well. Other bowlers who retained their rankings are Saim Ayub and Shadab Khan in 72nd and 74th positions, respectively.
