Pakistan Cricketer Harasses Hotel Staff in Sri Lanka During T20 World Cup 2026

The Pakistan National Cricket Team is facing more problems after doing poorly in the T20 World Cup 2026. People are already criticizing their performance, and now there is a new controversy. While staying in Sri Lanka for the World Cup, a Pakistan player was involved in an incident with a female hotel worker, which could bring shame to the PCB and the country.
This incident happened in Kandy before their final Super 8 match against Sri Lanka. As reported by Telecom Asia Sport, the Pakistan National Cricket Team was staying at the Golden Crown Hotel when the incident took place in Kandy. A player from the squad allegedly behaved in an inappropriate manner with a female housekeeping staff member inside the hotel.
Sources claimed, "Before Pakistan’s last Super Eight match against Sri Lanka, a Pakistan World Cup squad player misbehaved with a female housekeeping staff member."

The situation became shocking when the hotel staff asked for help. Hearing the commotion, other staff came to help her. The news soon reached Pakistan team manager Naveed Cheema, who reportedly dealt with the matter privately.
The sources added, “The staff member shouted and called for help, after which hotel staff came to her rescue and reported the matter to Pakistan team manager Naveed Cheema.”
The report also said that senior staff at the Golden Crown Hotel were very upset after the incident. The hotel management wanted strict action against the Pakistani player because they thought his behavior was unacceptable. But the Pakistan team manager saved that player at that time. Naveed Cheema reportedly apologized to the hotel authorities on behalf of the player and handled the issue inside the team.
Reports say that the Pakistani player was later fined by the team management, but his name has not been shared to prevent a bigger controversy during the tournament.Even though the name of the player has not been revealed, the issue is expected to come up again once the team returns to Pakistan. Sources claimed that the player could be called by the PCB disciplinary committee for further investigation, and they could take stricter actions against him.
