]PAK vs SL 2026: Pakistan to Tour Sri Lanka for Three T20Is in January

Pakistan will visit Sri Lanka for a three-match T20I series in early January next year. The series will help both teams get ready for the T20 World Cup 2026, which will be held in India and Sri Lanka in February and March.
The team led by Salman Ali Agha will play the matches on January 7, 9, and 11. All games will take place in Dambulla. This short tour will be Pakistan’s first white-ball series in 2026. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said the series will give the team "important practice ahead of next year’s big event."

Since the Pakistan Super League (PSL) ended in May this year, the PCB has focused a lot on white-ball cricket. Pakistan has played many T20I series, including matches against Bangladesh (home and away), West Indies (away), South Africa (home), and two tri-nation series.
Sri Lanka recently toured Pakistan. They first played a three-match ODI series, which Pakistan won 3-0. Then they played a tri-series with Zimbabwe, where Pakistan beat Sri Lanka in the final. Apart from the T20Is against Sri Lanka in Sri Lanka, Pakistan will also play a three-match home series against Australia in the last week of the same month.
Pakistan will play all their T20 World Cup 2026 matches in Sri Lanka. They are in Group A with India, Namibia, Netherlands, and the United States. All their group matches will be held in Colombo. Pakistan, who were knocked out in the group stage last time, will try to perform better in this tournament.
