New Zealand ODI & T20I Squads Announced for India Tour, Bracewell Named ODI Captain

New Zealand announced their squads for the three ODI match series against India, after a five-match T20I series, starting from January 11. Kane Williamson was unavailable for selection because of Injury, while Michael Bracewell was announced as their Captain for the 50-over format.

Jayden Lennox got a maiden call after a great domestic year. “Jayden Lennox is a player who impressed throughout the year by his performances. He has more experience in New Zealand A matches. He’s in good form and consistently playing, and he is one of the best performers in white-ball cricket domestically for a number of seasons in New Zealand,” coach Rob Walter said statement announced by New Zealand Cricket.

After injury, Mitchell Santner returns to the side, and he is the Captain for the T20I games. Leg-spinner Adi Ashok has also been included for the ODI team, who has good performances and experience in LIST A Matches. The series starts with ODIs. India has only announced their T20 squad, which will be missing names like Shubman Gill and Jitesh Sharma. India has yet to name the ODI squad.
