The New Zealand cricket team has qualified for the Super 8 of the T20 World Cup 2026. The Kiwis defeated Canada by 8 wickets in the first match played on Tuesday. Canada won the toss and elected to bat first in this match played at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. Thanks to Yuvraj Samra's historic century, Canada posted a strong total of 173 runs. Chasing the target, Rachin Ravindra and Glenn Phillips scored unbeaten half-centuries for New Zealand. New Zealand achieved the target in the 16th over to register a big win.
