Nepal played very well in this warm-up match and won by 6 wickets, with 12 balls remaining. Earlier, Canada won the toss and chose to bat first. They started slowly, and Yuvraj Samra got out for 7 runs during the powerplay. After six overs, Canada were 30 for 1.

Kanwarpal Tathgur and Navneet Dhaliwal then steadied the innings with a solid 63-run stand for the second wicket, but momentum dipped when both were dismissed in quick succession during the middle phase, while Nicholas Kirton’s cameo ended swiftly at 10 off 4 balls.

A strong late surge from Shreyas Movva (38*) and Jaskaran Singh Buttar (21) turned things around, their brisk 51-run partnership off just 24 deliveries pushing Canada to a competitive 161/6 from 20 overs. Sandeep Lamichhane (2/14) and Kushal Bhurtel (2/26) were the pick of the bowlers for Nepal.
