Mitchell Starc got off to a good start on Day 1 in Perth, taking three key wickets in the first session. He dismissed Zak Crawley in his first over before trapping Ben Duckett LBW with a quick delivery. Finally, he bowled Joe Root for a seven-ball duck.
Starc's wicket of Joe Root put him into the group of Australian bowlers who took 100 Ashes wickets. Starc is now the 13th Australian bowler to accomplish this.
