Pakistan batter Sahibzada Farhan joins the list of top run-scorers in each T20 World Cup edition. Having scored 383 runs across five innings, the opening batsman has the highest runs ever scored in a single T20 World Cup edition. His standout season also saw him score two centuries, the first batter to do so in one T20 World Cup.
Despite not even making it to the semi-final and hence playing fewer games than several other batters in the most run-getters list, Sahibzada Farhan was miles ahead.
Sahibzada joins Babar, Kohli
Besides him, Babar Azam is the only Pakistani on the list. Babar scored 303 runs during the 2021 T20 World Cup, where Pakistan crashed out against New Zealand in the semi-finals.
Virat Kohli has scored the most runs across two World Cup editions, in 2014 and then again in 2022. He is the only batter to feature twice on the list.
