In the match of the Pakistan Super League 2026, Lahore Qalandars were docked five runs for ball tampering against Karachi Kings. This incident occurred just before the last over. The target for Karachi was 14 runs. The bowler, Haris Rauf, was all set to bowl. Shaheen Shah Afridi and Fakhar Zaman were seen tampering with the ball and talking.

Faisal Afridi, the umpire, sensed that something was amiss. So, he checked the ball. After checking, it was concluded that the ball had been intentionally replaced. As a result, Lahore Qalandars were docked five runs, and the ball was replaced. This made the game a lot easier for the team. The target was reduced to merely 9 runs.
