Jasprit Bumrah's Injury Uncertainty Continues as Captain Returns to Dressing Room After Scans

As India faces difficulties at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG), there’s some good news. The Indian pace bowler Jasprit Bumrah who was suffering from an unknown injury has been discharged from the hospital and has gone back to the ground. Now, to be precise Bumrah walked off the field just after the second session had started on the very first day.

The visuals of Jasprit Bumrah going towards the scans have created doubts regarding his availability for the SCG game. But, just a few hours later, Bumrah is back at the ground. Nevertheless, there is no news regarding his fitness or whether he will participate in the ongoing Fifth Test match between India and Australia in any way or not even though he has joined his team.

Bumrah's Injury Update: No Clarity on Fitness Yet

The plus for India is that Jasprit Bumrah is now within the next 24 hours to get better. At the same time, Washington Sundar and Ravichandran Jadeja are batting, and there is about an hour of play left on the second day. India will bat for the rest of the day on December 4 and may carry on into the first session of the third day.

Bumrah's injury doesn’t seem too severe at first look, and he could step in to bowl or bat if needed. Leading the team in this decisive 5th Test, Bumrah has shown a willingness to take on extra responsibility. He might overlook fitness concerns to support the team when it matters most.
