Vijay Hazare Trophy Century: A Fresh Hope for Ishan Kishan
Ishan Kishan has talent for sure, but he has not been able to maintain form and consistency. This has kept him from being a regular in the Indian team. His journey has been one of some great performances and the odd setback, which has not helped him to be a regular in the playing XI.
His last ODI appearance for India came against Afghanistan in the 2023 World Cup, he only featured in the initial part of the match. Against Afghanistan, he made a quickfire 47 off 47 balls, but that was to be his last match for the ODI team. He included in just two matches during the World Cup and in his other match, he did not get to bat.
Ishan has played 27 matches in ODIs after making his debut against Sri Lanka back in 2021 with 933 runs at 42.40 and a strike rate of 102.19 with one century and seven half-centuries. So far, he has managed one century and seven half-centuries. It would be a perfect chance for him to regain his touch in this Vijay Hazare Trophy and make strong claims to return to the Indian side.
