Good news has come for star wicketkeeper-batsman Ishan Kishan, who has been waiting for a comeback to Team India. After a long injury layoff, Ishan has once again been given the responsibility of captaincy. The Jharkhand Cricket Association (JCA) has appointed him as the captain of the team for the 2025–26 Ranji Trophy season.

On the road to recovery, Ishan Kishan has been out of Team India for the past few months. Despite performing well in the County Championship, he had to withdraw midway due to injury. For the same reason, he also pulled out of the Duleep Trophy, where he was supposed to lead the East Zone. Now, with the Ranji Trophy captaincy, his return to the field is confirmed.
