Is Hardik Pandya Leaving MI? Latest Report Reveals Truth Behind Viral CSK MeetingPunjab Kings (PBKS) and Mumbai Indians (MI) are set to face each other in IPL 2026 on Thursday. But ahead of the match, Mumbai Indians have been troubled by the absence of captain Hardik Pandya and star batter Suryakumar Yadav.

Hardik’s continuous absence from MI matches has now sparked fresh rumours about his future with the franchise. Many fans on social media started talking about a possible trade ahead of IPL 2027.

The rumours began after a viral video showed Hardik Pandya speaking with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) CEO Kasi Viswanathan after MI’s loss at Chepauk on May 2. The two were seen having a long discussion on the field after Chennai defeated Mumbai by eight wickets.

Soon after the video went viral, fans started linking the meeting to a possible IPL 2027 trade. Some reports even claimed that Hardik could move to another franchise before next season.

Interestingly, fans also remembered that Kasi Viswanathan had a similar conversation with Sanju Samson before the wicketkeeper-batter eventually joined CSK ahead of IPL 2026.

The rumours became even stronger after Hardik shared a video of himself practising late at night. In the video, he looked fully fit while batting aggressively and showed no signs of injury or discomfort.

No Plans to Trade Hardik Despite Poor Season

However, a latest report from senior journalist Vijay Tagore for Cricbuzz has now dismissed all the trade rumours. According to the report, people close to the franchise have denied any discussion about Hardik leaving Mumbai Indians.

The report also mentioned that although Hardik has been practising separately, the MI medical staff are still monitoring his fitness and believe he has not fully recovered yet.

Despite Mumbai Indians’ disappointing IPL 2026 season, the franchise is reportedly not planning to trade Hardik Pandya. As of now, the India all-rounder is expected to continue with Mumbai Indians in the coming seasons as well.
