IPL Named the Richest Cricket League, but Not Ranked No. 1 by the World Cricketer's Association

For years, the IPL was regarded as the top cricket league in the world, and that view has continued to hold true for many people. However, according to the World Cricketers' Association, with their updated rankings, there may be some shifts in position.

In the new rankings of world cricketing leagues, the IPL now holds third place with a rating of 62.6; the SA20 currently ranks second at 68.0. The Highest ranking goes to the Hundred at 75.2.

There are 10 league-ranked leagues, each using a rating system of 1-13 points. The Pakistan Super League currently ranks fifth. The Bangladesh Premier League is rated lowest at 22.6. Here is an overview of all of the leagues.

The Hundred

The Hundred ranks first with a score of 75.2. It offers good weekly payments and timely payments. Payments are always on time. The player rating is 4.8/5. It needs improvement in contract and commercial matters.

SA20

SA20 ranks second with a score of 68.0. It is good in payments, security, and support for players. Players also get revenue share. The player rating is 4.4/5. It needs improvement in minimum and average payments for players.

Indian Premier League (IPL)

IPL ranks third with a score of 62.6. It gives the highest payments in the world for players. Payments are always on time. The player rating is 3.7/5. It needs improvement in player rights, contracts, and revenue sharing.

Big Bash League (BBL)

BBL ranks fourth and is very close to IPL. It scores 62.5. It is good in most areas but is low in payments for players. The player rating is 4.6/5. It needs improvement in payments for players and revenue sharing.

Pakistan Super League (PSL)

PSL ranks fifth with a score of 48.0. It is good in payments and dispute resolution but is low in money and player benefits. The player rating is 3.4/5. It needs improvement in payments and player rights.

Major League Cricket (MLC)

MLC is ranked 6th. It is doing great in terms of payments, security, and players. Players also receive revenue sharing. The rating of the players is 4/5. It needs improvement in terms of pay and contracts.

ILT20

ILT20 is ranked below 40. Players receive safe payments and revenue sharing. The rating of the players is 3.8/5. It needs improvement in many areas such as pay and players rights.

Caribbean Premier League (CPL)

CPL is ranked 8th. It is doing great in terms of payment reliability. Players’ payments need improvement. The rating of the players is 3.3/5. It needs improvement in terms of pay.

Abu Dhabi T10

Abu Dhabi T10 is ranked very low. It is only doing great in terms of payment reliability. The rating of the players is 2.2/5. It needs improvement in almost every area.

Bangladesh Premier League (BPL)

BPL is ranked last at 22.6. It has very few strong areas and many weaknesses. The rating of the players is 1.2/5. It needs improvement in many areas such as payments and players rights.
